We run four in the 2 mile Listed Novice Hurdle. Absurde (Paul) won a 2m 4f novice hurdle at Killarney on his first run for us and then finished second behind Vauban in a 1m 6f handicap at Royal Ascot. While he doesn’t have as much hurdling experience as some of his rivals he should be very competitive. Rachael Blackmore rides Space Tourist who is two from two over hurdles. This is a step up for her and she may need to improve further if she is to get involved at the business end. Williamstown Dancer (Danny) has also won her two outings over hurdles. While she would prefer better ground, this is an opportunity to get some valuable black type. Arctic Fly (Sean O’Keeffe) was impressive when winning her maiden hurdle at Punchestown and has every chance of getting into the money.
Sharjah (Paul) makes his chasing debut in the beginners chase over 2m 2f. He loves this track and he has been schooling very well at home. The soft ground won’t be in his favour but his class should see him very hard to beat granted a clear round.
