We have two runners in the 2m 5f beginners chase. Aime Desjy (Sean O’Keeffe) has always given the impression that he will be better over fences but he will have to improve on his hurdling form if he is to get involved today. Nick Rockett (Paul) has won a point to point and will like this track and ground. All being well, he will have a big part to play here.
We are also doubly represented in the hot 2 mile maiden hurdle. Ballyburn (Paul) is a very nice sort who won a bumper over this track in April. He has point to point experience and there is no reason why he shouldn’t be up to this class. We’re confident of a big run. Irancy (Jody McGarvey) had nice form in AQPS races in France and we will find out today where he fits in on the novice hurdle ladder.
Our two runners in the 2 mile Grade 3 4yo hurdle are well treated by the race conditions. Gust Of Wind (Paul) has run in all the top races and with his rating he won’t be out of it here. Risk Belle (Mark Walsh) is improving and is a course and distance winner. She has a nice weight and should go close.
We run a lovely new recruit for Malcolm Denmark in the bumper. By all accounts this is a very hot renewal and we will be pleased if he runs well and finishes in the first three.
