Batman Girac (Paul) has his first run for us in the 2 mile Juvenile Hurdle. He has two good runs over hurdles in France so he has plenty of experience. He seems quite smart at home and is certainly one to take note of.
We’re not very strongly represented in the Royal Bond Novice Hurdle over 2 miles. Paul rides Bialystok and Danny is on Horantzau D’airy. However, it’s a grade one race with big prize money so they will take their chance.
We have two runners in the Drinmore Novice Chase over 2m 4f. I Am Maximus (Jody McGarvey) won the Irish National here in April so this trip will probably prove too short. However, he takes his chance as this is his last race as a novice. Sharjah (Paul) comes here in great form and the dry week is a huge plus. He should be a big player here.
We also run two in the Hatton’s Grace Hurdle over 2m 4f. Impaire Et Passe (Paul) has a great record since joining Closutton last year. We’re very happy with him at home and we’re expecting him to maintain his unbeaten run. Ashroe Diamond (Patrick) won a grade one over this course and distance in April but is probably outclassed here. But nothing ventured nothing gained and maybe she will get some valuable black type.
Petit Secret (Patrick) makes his racecourse debut in the 4yo bumper. He’s been catching the eye on the gallops and hopefully he’s the one to beat here.
