Listed Handicap Chase 2m. 75yds
Tullyhill (Paul) is a course winner and will be fine over this trip. He has to shoulder top-weight but is strong enough to do so. We’re expecting a big run.
Mirazur West (Jody McGarvey) will go on the ground and the trip is okay. His win at Cork last time will have given him confidence and he could be on a nice mark for his first run in a handicap.
Listed Handicap Hurdle 2m. 7f. 110yds
Chart Topper (Danny) and C’est Ta Chance (J J Slevin) both ran at Ayr last month and this race is coming plenty soon enough. They will both have to leave the Ayr form behind if they are to figure at the business end today in this competitive handicap.
Listed Mares Novice Hurdle 2m. 94yds
Karamoja (Paul) ran well when third behind Aurora Vega at Fairyhouse last month. This is a quick return but she has every chance of being placed again.
Karoline Banbou (Mark Walsh) finished sixth in that same Fairyhouse race and hopefully she too might get a share of the place money.
Grade 1 Novice Chase 2m. 75yds
Majborough (Mark Walsh) would probably have won the Arkle at Cheltenham if he hadn’t made mistakes at the last two fences. We’re going to change tactics a little today and that could make a big difference. He’ll be hard to beat with a clear round.
Grade 1 Champion Stayers Hurdle 2m. 7f. 110yds
Asterion Forlonge (Paul) was second in this race in 2023 and again last year but is getting on in years and is now an 11yo. We’ll be happy if he’s placed again.
Winter Fog (Brian Hayes) did really well to finish third in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham and this longer trip holds no fear for him. He has a good each-way chance.
Winners Bumper 2m. 94yds
Dani Donadoni (Jody) won nicely on his debut at Limerick and this drier ground will suit even better. We’re hoping for a big run.
Ksar Fatal (Patrick) hacked up on soft ground at Gowran in March. This faster ground is probably not ideal but we still like his chances.
