Punchestown 18th February

Mister Policeman (Paul) goes for the 2 mile rated novice chase. He didn’t jump fast enough when third at Naas last time. If he jumps a bit slicker today he should be too good for this opposition.

Klarc Kent (Paul) runs in the beginners chase over 2m 7f. He was beaten when he fell at the last at Navan but has a little chance here. The ground will really suit and the trip is fine.

Paul gets down to his minimum weight to ride We’llhavewan in the Grand National Trial Handicap Chase over 3m 3f. He won a handicap hurdle at Navan last time and could still be well handicapped over fences. He has a great chance.

We have three runners in the 2 mile listed novice hurdle. Lombron (Danny) would prefer a longer trip but will gain good experience here. Tullyhill (Paul) won a maiden at Naas last month but will have to improve his jumping if he is to win today. Westport Cove (Mikey O’Sullivan) was second at Clonmel last time and could improve enough to finish in the money today.

Paggane (Paul) runs in the 2m 3f maiden hurdle. She drops back in trip here and that should be a big help. If she can improve a little this could be her day.

We have two with good chances in the bumper. Inn At The Park (Jody) ran very well on his debut at Fairyhouse and with that experience behind him is no back numper here. Sounds Victorius (Patrick) also had a great run on debut when second at Leopardstown at Christmas. He has come on a fair bit since and hopefully will keep up our good run in bumpers.
