Asian Master (Tom Costello) runs in the 2 mile rated novice hurdle. He beat Jimmy Du Seuil on his first run for us in a maiden at Thurles and that form got a boost when his stablemate won at Clonmel last week. Two miles in this ground will be a stiff test which should help him to improve. This race will give us an idea where he stands in the novice ranks.
We have two runners in the 2m 4f maiden hurdle. Chosen Witness (Danny) has been a little disappointing but a first-time tongue tie and the step up in trip should be a help. However, on recent form, it’s hard to fancy him here. We are expecting Dr Eggman (Sean O’Keeffe) to improve a good bit from his run at Navan last month. This trip will suit and we think he will give a very good account.
We also run two in the 3 mile beginners chase. Minella Cocooner (Danny) will improve hugely from his run at Leopardstown at Christmas. This is a tough looking contest but he likes this track and he should be very competitive. Klarc Kent (Brian Hayes) will love this ground and trip but his form suggests a first four finish would be good.
C’est Ta Chance (Patrick) makes his racecourse debut in the bumper. He is a nice individual that we sourced from Pat Doyle’s academy. He has won a point to point and this ground and track will hold no fear for him. We have been very happy with him at home and we expect him to be very competitive.
