Mister Policeman (Paul) goes for the 2 mile novice chase. He did well to win on his chasing debut at Fairyhouse and we are expecting him to improve and be very competitive here. Ideally, we would prefer the ground a little bit better and a longer trip for him but he still looks the one to beat.
We have four declared for the Lawlor’s Of Naas Grade 1 Novice Hurdle over 2m 4f. Patrick was impressed with Chapeau De Soleil when he won at Clonmel and is happy to stick with him here. Paul has gone for Ile Atlantique who was very impressive when winning over 2 miles at Gowran. This longer trip will suit better and we’re very hopeful. Lecky Watson (Danny) was second at Navan last time and will handle the ground. He has his chance. Readin Tommy Wrong (Daryl Jacob) ran a great race when beating Lisnagar Fortune at Cork and looked like he needs a trip like this.
Tullyhill (Paul) runs in the 2 mile maiden hurdle. His jumping was very disappointing when he finished second at Punchestown last time but we have him jumping way better at home now. The drop back in trip today will be a huge help and we are hoping he will make amends for the Punchestown run.
