Mares Beginners Chase 2m 4f
Fun Fun Fun (Patrick) is making her chasing debut. She works and jumps well and Patrick is using one of his rides in a professional race which is a tip in itself. She will give a good account.
Iris Emery (Danny) has decent enough form but needs to improve if she is to win this.
Karia Des Blaises (Paul) was second over two miles at Cork last time and this longer trip will be a big help. She could trouble the principals.
Grade 2 Novice Chase 2 Miles
This is a tough race and it will be interesting to see how Ile Atlantique (Paul) gets on. His jumping was very slick when he won over 2m 4f at Navan and we don’t think the drop back in trip today will inconvenience him. He should improve from that first run over fences and must have a decent chance.
Lawlors Of Naas Novice Hurdle 2m 4f
Jasmin De Vaux (Paul) won his maiden at Navan last month and the form of that race has been boosted with the second and third winning at Leopardstown over Christmas. His jumping that day left a lot to be desired but going out in trip here will give him more time at his hurdles. He takes on some useful rivals but we’re confident he’ll put in a strong performance.
Plontier (Sean O’Keeffe) ran well at Fairyhouse last time and the extra half a mile today will give him a chance to get into the placings.
Spasiba (Danny) won over this course and distance in November and has his chance of getting his share of the prize money.
Patrick has elected to ride Supersundae who has plenty of experience. He will love this trip and will play a big part in the finish.
Maiden Hurdle 2 Miles
Joystick (Paul) was fourth over 2m 3f at Punchestown last month and the third horse won at Limerick over Christmas next time out. It’s a bit of a gamble going back to two miles but we are doing it because he ran so free last time. If he settles he has every chance of getting off the mark over hurdles.
