Good Thyne Tara (Paul) runs in the 2 mile mares beginners chase. She finished second on her chasing debut at Thurles last November and we are hopeful that she will go one better here. She jumps well and the drying ground will suit her. Ideally she would prefer a longer trip but on her best hurdling form she should be well up to winning a race like this.
We have two runners in the competitive 2 mile novice chase. Tornado Flyer (Paul) is two from two over fences having won here in November and followed up at Navan the following month. He is an improving horse and this trip shouldn’t inconvenience him. Cash Back (Danny) was very good when winning on his chasing debut at Navan and will improve from that run here. There wasn’t much between our two over hurdles and that might still be the case over fences here.
Elixir D’ainay (Mark Walsh) goes for the 2m 4f Grade 1 Novice Hurdle. He won his maiden here in November and is in good form coming here. He has all to do against Envoy Allen but he should give a good account of himself.
Asterion Forlonge (Paul) makes his hurdling debut in the 2 mile maiden hurdle. He jumps and gallops well and has won a point to point. Hopefully this might be an opportunity for him to get off the mark over hurdles.
