Fairyhouse 1st January

Hubrisko (Sean O’Keeffe) has his first run for us in the 2m 4f maiden hurdle. He is by Sharjah’s sire Doctor Dino and is a half-brother to Grand Bornand. He won an AQPS race in France on heavy ground so he should handle today’s conditions.

Allegorie De Vassy (Sean O’Keeffe) is another having a first run for us. She goes for the mares’ hurdle over 2m 2f and we are hoping she will go close. She was placed over hurdles in France and that experience will stand to her here.

Elimay (Mark Walsh) goes for the grade 3 mares’ chase over 2m 5f. She was disappointing at Aintree last time but we are hoping she will bounce back here. She is a course and distance winner and is the top adjusted-rated runner.

We have two runners in the 2m 5f beginners chase. Jungle Boogie (Sean O’Keeffe) has shown plenty of ability in a bumper and hurdle and jumps well at home. With a clear round, he should be very competitive. Shadow Rider (Mark Walsh) won a point to point and will be suited by the trip and will go on the ground. He has plenty of ability and must have a good chance.

Klarc Kent (Jody McGarvey) makes his racecourse debut in the bumper. He is by Spanish Moon and is a lovely big chasing type. Our bumper horses have been going well and hopefully this fellow will also be competitive.
