Fairyhouse 1st April

Implicit (Paul) is having her first run in a handicap in the novice handicap hurdle over 2 miles. She won her maiden on heavy ground at Clonmel last time but could find this a big ask in such testing conditions.

We run three in the Grade 2 Juvenile Hurdle over 2 miles. Paul has picked Miss Manzor who is a course and distance winner. She had Batman Girac (Danny) and Karia Des Blaises (Sean O’Keeffe) who fell behind her in the Boodles at Cheltenham and should confirm that form here.

O’Moore Park (Paul) goes for the 2m 6f handicap hurdle. He won his maiden over 2m 3f here in January and will really appreciate the step up in trip today. This is his first handicap and he has top-weight but he should run very well.

Zarak The Brave (Paul) runs in the Grade 2 Hurdle over 2m 4f. He has the rating to be very competitive but would prefer better ground.

We have two runners in the Grade 2 Chase over 2m 3f. Saint Sam (Paul) will love this trip and the ground and is a course winner. He has every chance. Appreciate It (Danny) would prefer less testing ground but has been working well at home.

We have three good chances in the Irish Grand National over 3m 5f. Minella Cocooner (Danny) will find this difficult off top-weight. Nick Rockett (Paul) loves this track and has been aimed at this race. He has a fair share of weight but we expect a big run. We’llhavewan (Kieran Callaghan) has a lovely racing weight and stays well. He won’t be far away.

MacDermott (Danny) runs in the 3 mile handicap chase. He will appreciate this trip and handle the ground and should figure prominently.

We have three in the winners bumper. Patrick has picked Coco Masterpiece who won at Thurles last month. He will love the testing conditions and hopefully he will keep up our good current bumper run. Hens Tooth (Charlie Mullins) was disappointing at Leopardstown but will like this ground. Redempion Day (Jody) might find the ground too testing but has the form to go close.
