Cheltenham 12th March

Turners Novice Hurdle 2m 5f

Final Demand (Paul) looks the pick of ours. He travelled over and settled in well. He was very convincing when winning at Leopardstown and has a big chance.

Kaid D’authie (Brian Hayes) steps up in trip and we think that will suit. He will like the ground and has each-way prospects.

Kappa Jy Pyke (Sean O’Keeffe) takes a big step up in class but deserves his chance.

Mark Walsh has picked Kel Histoire. He has a good level of form and the trip and ground will suit.

Patrick put his hand up to ride Kiss Will and that’s a good vote of confidence. He’s a real stayer and has an each-way chance.

Supersundae (Danny) jumps and gallops well and will like the ground.

Brown Advisory Novice Chase 3 Miles

Ballyburn (Paul) is a course winner and has a favourite’s chance. We think he’ll settle well over this trip but ideally he would probably prefer softer ground.

Dancing City (Danny) settles, jumps and stays this trip. If things don’t go right for the favourite he has every chance of winning.

Lecky Watson (Sean O’Keeffe) stepped up nicely to win at Punchestown last time and deserves to run in this tough race.

Quai De Bourbon (Patrick) jumps and stays well. While we would have liked more rain for him, he has the ability to be there or thereabouts.

Coral Cup Handicap Hurdle 2m 5f

Jimmy Du Seuil (Danny) ran well in the Turners last year but unfortunately we couldn’t get a run into him in preparation for this. He will go on the ground and will like the track but does have a lot of weight.

Paul has picked Bunting who could be well handicapped. He looks sure to be a big player.

King Alexander (Brian Hayes) has a nice racing weight but needs to improve.

Queen Mother Champion Chase 2 Miles

Energumene (Paul) won this race in 2022 and 2023. He is in great form and we couldn’t be happier with him. He travelled over well but would like the ground softer.

Champion Bumper 2 Miles

Patrick had a tough decision with the talent we have in this race but eventually opted for Copacabana. The fact that Copacabana stays and is calm mentally tipped the scales in his favour. He has the ability to go very close.

Gameofinches (Paul) was very impressive when winning at Punchestown but is inclined to be very much on his toes.

Sortudo (Danny) has decent form but will have to run a career best to finish in the first three.

Aqua Force (Mark Walsh) is a lovely mare we acquired after she won very impressively on testing ground at Gowran last month. It will be tough for her after changing stables so recently and it will be interesting to see how she handles this faster ground.

Bambino Fever (Jody) looked exciting when winning two bumpers and the drier ground here could bring about further improvement.
