We have four runners in the Marsh Novices Chase over 2m 3f. Bapaume (Rachael Blackmore) was disappointing last time but will have no trouble with the trip or ground. Faugheen (Paul) has won two grade one races and Ireland and has earned his place here. He will find it tough but he has performed well around this track in the past. Melon (Patrick) will be suited by the trip and track and first time cheekpieces could make a difference. Tornado Flyer (Danny) is coming back right after a mid-season blip. He jumps well and will go on the ground.
We have two in the Ryanair Chase over 2m 4f. Duc Des Genievres (Robbie Power) won the Arkle here last year. That was over 2 miles but we think that this longer trip will suit him better this time round. Min (Paul) disappointed here last year when we probably used the wrong tactics. We will keep things straightforward this time and hopefully he will run a big race.
We also run two in the Stayers Hurdle over 3 miles. Bacardys (Patrick) has shown some good form around this track and has place prospects here. Penhill (Paul) won this race in 2018 but disappointed last year. He ran well last time but hasn’t hit the form required to win today.
We have three runners in the Brown Advisory Handicap Chase over 2m 4f. Robin Des Foret (Paul) has had a wind operation and hopefully that will be a big help to him. Livelovelaugh (Brian Hayes) was very disappointing last time so we are bringing him right back in trip here to see if that will make a difference. Blazer (Mark Walsh) goes here in good form and we think he will handle the ground conditions.
We run four in the 2 mile mares novices hurdle. Colreevy (Paul) is a grade one bumper winner and looks the type to go close here. She will love the ground. Concertista (Daryl Jacob) was second in this race last year but the trip could be a bit short for her at this stage. She could be each-way material. We think Dolcita (Robbie Power) has improved a lot and has a good each-way chance here. Yukon Lil (Danny) needs to improve and could find this ground a little dead.
Cabaret Queen (Mark O’Hare) goes for the Kim Muir Amateurs Handicap Chase over 3m 2f. She was disappointing over hurdles at Leopardstown last time and might find this ground too slow.
