Il Etait Temps (Paul) goes for the novices chase over 2m 4f. He comes here on the back of a very good run over 2 miles at Cheltenham and the extra half a mile here could be important. It’s a hot contest but he should go close.
Kargese (Paul) runs in the Juvenile Grade 1 Hurdle over 2 miles. Her second to Majborough in the Triumph Hurdle gives her more than a leading chance here. She came out of the Cheltenham race well and has every chance of improving on that run today.
Impaire Et Passe (Paul) goes for the Grade 1 Aintree Hurdle over 2m 4f. This a tough assignment after his third behind State Man at Leopardstown in February. We skipped Cheltenham to run here and hopefully he will run well enough to justify that decision.
Annamix (Patrick) is in the Foxhunters Chase over 2m 5f. He had a great run here a few years ago when third in the Topham Handicap Chase and a repeat of that form would see him being very competitive today.
Saint Roi (Mark Walsh) runs in the Red Rum Handicap Chase over 2 miles. We were a little disappointed with him at Cheltenham but we are hopeful of a better performance here.
Baby Kate (Patrick) goes for the mares bumper over 2m 1f. She won a bumper at Cheltenham last November and will have to be every bit as good again if she is to win this competitive affair.
