We have two runners in the mares maiden hurdle over 3 miles. Coastguard Lady (Brian Hayes) was third at Tramore last time and we are going to employ different tactics today. However, this looks like a hard task for her. Coole Cherry (Rachael Blackmore) was disappointing on her hurdling debut at Sligo last month but we are prepared to draw a line through that run. We are expecting a much better performance here and we’ll be disappointed if she doesn’t go very close.
Uncle Phil (Sean O’Keeffe) goes for the 2m 3f rated novice chase. He was very good when winning his beginners chase at Kilbeggan last time but had previously disappointed over this track. This is a tough assignment and we’ll be pleased if he finishes in the first three.
