Sandown 27th April

Easy Game (Paul) runs in the 2m 6f Chase. The soft ground didn’t suit him when he pulled up at Aintree but the better underfoot conditions here are just what he needs. He jumps well and the trip is fine but this is a tough ask and a win would be a bonus.

El Fabiolo (Paul) goes for the Grade 1 Chase over 1m 7f which looks one of the most hotly contested races all season. If we discount his last run when he made a bad mistake and pulled up in the Queen Mother Chase he has every chance here. He has been in very good form at home and we are hoping for the best.

We have three runners in the 3m 4f handicap chase. Danny gave Minella Cocooner a very good ride to finish third in the Irish National and that run gives him a tremendous chance here. He’s been working well at home. Nick Rockett (Paul) was a little disappointing in the Irish National but we are hoping that the drying ground here will bring about the required improvement. Aime Desjy (Sean O’Keeffe) ran well to be fifth in the Topham Trophy at Cheltenham. We think the longer trip here will suit.

We run two in the 2m 5f hurdle. Paul rides Impaire Et Passe who comes here with a brilliant chance after landing the Aintree Hurdle last time. We are expecting another big run. Sir Gerhard (Patrick) got back to winning ways at Cork last time and that will have given him confidence. Hopefully he will pick up some place money here.

We have two runners in the 2m 4f handicap hurdle. Sa Majeste (Paul) was a little disappointing in the Coral Cup at Cheltenham but the better ground here will be more to his liking. There is a lot of improvement to come from Gold Dancer (Danny). He just hasn’t come into form yet but with a bit of luck it might be today.
