Stattler (Patrick) goes down the cross country route in the P P Hogan Memorial over 3 miles. He is a previous winner of the NH Chase at Cheltenham and if he takes to discipline he should be very competitive.
Mercurey (Paul) goes for the 2 mile maiden hurdle. He ran a cracker at Punchestown last month after more than a year off the track. That run will have brought him on and we’re hoping he will have the measure of these rivals.
Linden Arden (Brian Hayes) runs in the 2m 3f maiden hurdle. He didn’t live up to his homework when disappointing in a handicap at Leopardstown at Christmas. We’re hoping for the best but he needs to step up considerably if he is to win today.
