We have Stones And Roses (Paul) and Ifyoucatchmenow (Conor McNamara) in the Grand National Trial Handicap Chase over 3m 4f. Both horses have nice handy weights and will enjoy the trip and the testing ground. It looks like a very open handicap and hopefully they will give good accounts of themselves.
We run two in the 3 mile novice hurdle. Vis Ta Loi (Danny) wants this trip and ground but we mightn’t see the best of him until he goes over fences. Lord Royal (Paul) was very impressive when winning a maiden over 2m 4f at Clonmel last month and he should be suited by this longer trip. We will find out how good he is today.
Getaway Gorgeous (Paul) goes for the 2 mile mares maiden hurdle. She was a shade unlucky when second on her hurdling debut at Clonmel last month. The ground was heavy then and ideally she would prefer a better surface. However, she has the form to win a race of this calibre.
We have two in the 2m 6f maiden hurdle. Vent D’automne (Danny) is by the same sire as Un De Sceaux and he needs this trip and will love the ground. Et Dite (Paul) returns to the track where she was second in a maiden over 2m 4f last time. She goes on this ground and will love this longer trip. There mightn’t be much between the pair at the finish but with a bit of luck one of them will do the business.
