We have two runners in the Limestone Lad Hurdle over 2 miles. Franco De Port (Danny) had a very disappointing run over Christmas and would need to put that behind him to have any chance here. Stormy Ireland (Paul) has won her last two and should be hard to beat again today. The trip is a bit shorter than ideal but it will be disappointing if she fails to win again.
We also run two in the 3 mile novice chase. Carefully Selected (Paul) didn’t have a hard race when winning last time and will be suited by this trip and ground. Small Farm (Brian Hayes) fell last time and hopefully he might get his confidence back with a clear round today.
The Big Getaway (Paul) goes for the 2m 3f maiden hurdle. He was fourth over 2m 4f at Leopardstown over Christmas and we are expecting him to improve on that performance here.
Stones And Roses (Paul) runs in the 2m 4f novice handicap chase. He was disappointing at Limerick last time and hopefully he will put in a better effort today. He needs to jump better if he is to get involved.
We have two in the hunters chase over 3 miles. Billaway (Patrick) was second in Down Royal last time and is closely matched here with the winner and third from that race. He will like the ground and has his chance. We were lucky to get Jamie Codd for Casey Jem who is having his first run for us. He is a nice chasing type who has been in good form at home.
