Petingo Handicap 1m 5f
My Lyka (Rachael Blackmore) was very disappointing at Royal Ascot where he may have resented wearing a tongue tie. We are leaving it off today to see if that will make a difference. He is one to watch.
Plontier (Colin Keane) is a horse we like. He was very impressive when landing a maiden hurdle at Sligo and had good form on the flat on the continent before coming to us. He will like this ground but has a bad draw and might prefer a longer trip.
Bialystok (Tom Marquand) will benefit from his run over 1m 4f at Galway and the extra furlong here will be a big help. The ground will suit and he has his chance.
Spasiba (Seamus Heffernan) ran a tremendous race when third in the Amateur Handicap at Galway and with a little improvement should run a big race today. He is great each-way value.
The ground had gone too soft for Lot Of Joy (Billy Loughnane) when she was third at Killarney last time. Today’s nicer surface will be much more to her liking.
