Killarney 16th May

We have three runners in the conditions hurdle over 2m 4f. Shewearsitwell (Paul) looks best of the three and a reproduction of her run at Punchestown last month could make her hard to beat here. Kieran Callaghan got on well with Cash Back when he was second at Cork last time and his 7lb claim will be a help again today. Jon Snow (Brian Hayes) was very disappointing at Fairyhouse last month but he is a course winner here and has been working well since Fairyhouse.

La Prima Donna (Paul) goes for the mares maiden hurdle over 2m 6f. She ran very well when fifth in a handicap over 2m 3f at Punchestown last time and will be better suited by this longer trip. She will go on the ground and we’ll be disappointed if she doesn’t shed her maiden tag over hurdles today.

We have three in the 2m 6f handicap hurdle. Hybery (Paul) has been very disappointing and needs to improve significantly to get involved here. Vadaly (Rachael Blackmore) has a lovely weight and needs this trip. She has every chance. Feigh (Sean O’Keeffe) has the advantage of being a course winner and will handle the ground.

We also have three in the Grade 3 Chase over 2m 4f. Easy Game (Brian Hayes) and Cilaos Emery (Sean O’Keeffe) finished first and second in a grade 2 at Fairyhouse last time. They were rather fortunate as the two principals both fell. Melon (Paul) relished the drop in class when winning at Cork last month and hopefully will follow up here. He probably has most to fear from Easy Game.

Recite A Prayer (Danny) goes for the3m 2f handicap chase. He ran a cracker when second at Punchestown last time and a repeat should at least get him in the money today.
