Aime Desjy (Paul) goes for the 2 mile maiden hurdle. He hasn’t been seen since finishing fourth to Shanbally Kid over 2m 4f at Navan last January. He should be okay with the drop back in trip here. He is one to keep an eye on and should strip a lot fitter next time.
We have two runners with similar ratings in the 3m if conditions hurdle. Winter Fog (Kieran Callaghan) got injured in the stalls at Galway and had to be withdrawn. He is fine now and will have the benefit of Kieran’s useful 5lb claim. Stratum (Paul) hasn’t run over hurdles for nearly two years but he will love this trip. He could be hard to beat.
Steppingstone (Patrick) makes his racecourse debut in the bumper. He is a lovely flat bred type who will be suited by the ground. He has been doing everything nicely at home and we’re confident that he’ll be a big player here.
