Energumene (Paul) makes his hurdling debut in the 2 mile maiden hurdle. He won a bumper at Thurles in January and is a big chasing type for the future. He will handle the ground and has schooled well at home. He should open his hurdling account here.
Katoune Tara (Richie Deegan) has her first run for us in the point to point bumper which is named in memory of the late Brendan Doyle who was a good friend and owner with Willie. She is a nice mare and it would be great if she were to win this race but the top two horses look a cut above the rest on pointing form.
