We have three runners making their hurdling debuts in the 2 mile maiden hurdle. Ninth Titan (Paul) jumps very well and has plenty of racing experience. He does things nicely at home and we’re really looking forward to seeing how he gets on here. Olympic Man (Danny) is a very nice horse from France. He had a few niggling problems and proved difficult to get to the track. However, he is ready to start off now and is a horse with a promising future. More rain will suit him and he is one to note going forward. Rath Gaul Boy (Brian Hayes) is very fit but may need a longer trip to be seen at his best.
We have seven declared for the Listed Handicap Hurdle over 2m 6f. Icare Allen (Aiden Kelly) ran a great race in the Galway Hurdle on Thursday and the extra trip here would be a huge benefit. Power Of Pause (Paul) will improve from his run at Ballinrobe last time. He will love this trip and ground. Maze Runner (Mikey O’Sullivan) likes this track but go no run at all in the Amateur Handicap here on Monday. He will be fine over this longer trip. Foveros (Sean O’Keeffe) jumps well and loves this track. Any more rain will be a big help and he has a definite chance if gets the breaks. La Prime Donna (Brian Hayes) is a temperamental lady but hopefully first-time blinkers will help her. Nikini (Kieran Callaghan) ran well in a flat maiden at Leopardstown last time and that should have set her up nicely for this. She should handle the ground and Kieran’s 5lb claim will be a help.
We are quite keen on The Twelve Pins (Patrick) chances in the mares bumper. She was a little unlucky when second on her debut here last year. We are hoping she will go one better this time.
