Galway 30th July

Karl Der Grosse (Paul) goes for the 2m 6f beginners chase. This is his first run over fences and we think this could be his game. He jumps well at home and will like this trip.

We have five in the Galway Hurdle over 2 miles. Aramon (Patrick) ran very well in Cheltenham and won at Tipperary last month. This won’t be easy for him with top weight. Buildmeupbuttercup (Paul) was fourth in Cheltenham last time and is a course winner here. She is in good form and has a nice weight. She should go close. Mt Leinster (David) won the amateur flat maiden here on Monday and has every chance today if he settles and jumps well. Shanning (Danny) is a course and distance winner and was seventh in this race last year after getting into trouble. This has been his target all year and we are expecting him to run really well. Tiger Tap Tap (Conor McNamara) ran too free in the amateur handicap here on Monday and if he settles better today he could run well.

Jon Snow (Paul) goes for the 2m 4f novice hurdle. He is in good form and will handle the trip and love the ground. We are expecting him to be very much involved.

We have two runners in the bumper over 2m 2f. Power Of Pause (Patrick) has good winter form and will be suited by the trip and like the ground. Definite Katie (Jody Townend) is a nice mare but could find this a tough track for her racecourse debut.
