We will have two in the maiden hurdle over 2 miles. Gamin Original (Paul) was very unlucky not to win here last year. He was in front at the last when he stumbled on landing and unseated Paul. He is on a retrieval mission and hopefully he will make amend for that mishap today. Hubrisko (Sean O’Keeffe) is a half-brother to Grand Bornand and ran well when third at Fairyhouse on New Year’s Day. He won’t be far away here.
We have four in the 2m 6f handicap hurdle. Whiskey Sour (Kieran Callaghan) ran better than his finishing position would suggest in the amateur handicap on Monday and even with top weight here is not without a chance. Finest Evermore (Danny) has had her trials and tribulations and hasn’t run since Leopardstown at Christmas. Hopefully this trip and ground will suit. Foveros (Jack Foley) was disappointing here on Monday and we are just hoping for a far better run here. La Prima Donna (Paul) won a maiden over 2m 4f at Tipperary in May but this trip should suit her even better. She has a nice racing weight and has plenty of experience for a race like this.
Indigo Desert (Colin Keane) is declared for the 1m 4f handicap. He was due to run on Friday evening so we will have to see how he comes out of that race.
Carrigmoorna Queen (Patrick) goes for the mares bumper. She was second on heavy ground on her debut at Punchestown but we think this ground will suit her much better. We are hoping for a very good run.
