Fairyhouse 5th April

Klassy Kay (Conor McNamara) goes for the 2m 6f handicap hurdle. She is a course winner and has a very light weight here particularly when Conor’s 3 lb claim is taken into account. She will go on the ground and will really appreciate the trip. She has every chance.

We have two in the Grade 2 Hurdle over 2m 4f. Scarpeta (Danny) has been disappointing and is probably best watched until he returns to form. Stormy Ireland was second at Sandown in January and we have been very happy with her since she returned to us. She will handle the ground and these race conditions suit her. If she puts her best foot forward she should be very much involved at the business end.

We also run two in the Grade 2 Chase over 2m 4f. Easy Game will like the trip and ground and we think he will run a big race. The ground will be a help to Annamix (Danny) but the quality of this race might prove too much for him.

We will have five runners in the Irish Grand National over 3m 5f. Augusta Gold is having her first run for us. She has great form around here in very testing conditions and on pedigree this ground should suit her better. Brahma Bull (Brian Hayes) will love the ground and trip but has a big task at these weights. Danny gets on well with Salsaretta and this trip will be a huge help to her. Robin De Carlow (Rachael Blackmore) is very interesting on her first run in a handicap. She could be thrown in at these weights but has a long absence to overcome. The trip is a big plus for Dragon D’estruval (Conor McNamara) but realistically he is probably outclassed here.
