Saint Sam (Paul) has his first run for us in the 3yo hurdle over 2 miles. He won two hurdle races in France and that experience will be invaluable here. He will handle this ground and should go well in what looks like a tough race.
N’golo (Paul) goes for the Royal Bond novice hurdle over 2 miles. This is obviously a very competitive race and he will need to improve further if he is to win. However, he won well at Navan last time and we think he will go close today.
Voix Des Tiep (Paul) runs in the valuable handicap chase over 3m 5f. He ran okay on his seasonal reappearance at Navan a couple of weeks ago and he will handle this ground. This is a big step up in trip but we don’t think that will be any harm.
Bacardys (Paul) goes for the Hattons Grace Hurdle over 2m 4f. He was second to Honeysuckle in this race last year and she is the one to beat again this time round. We will be happy if we get a decent share of the prize money again.
We have three in the 2 mile Grade A handicap hurdle. Of the three, Getaway Gorgeous (Paul) is probably the one open to most improvement. She didn’t get things her own way at Down Royal last time but with better luck here she could represent good each-way value. Ciel De Niege (Jody McGarvey) has a lot of weight for his first run back in such a competitive handicap. Hybery (David) finished behind Getaway Gorgeous at Down Royal last time and would need this ground to dry out a bit to be seen at his best.
