We have four nice types in the 4yo Juvenile Hurdle over 2 miles. Paul rides Gamin Original who had two good runs in AQPS races in France. He jumps well at home and will handle this heavy ground. Burning Victory (Danny), Gjoumi (Brian Hayes and Hook Up (Rachael Blackmore) all have winning form in France but we don’t think that this very heavy Irish winter ground will suit them.
We run four in the Bobbyjo Chase over 3m 1f. Bellshill (Paul) won this race on soft ground two years ago. He didn’t like the first-time tongue tie in the Irish Gold so we are leaving it off today. Hopefully he will come back to form. Voix Du Reve (Mikey Fogarty) needs to finish in the first four here to qualify for the Grand National. This is his first time over a trip this far over fences. Acapella Bourgeois (Danny) likes this track and will appreciate the heavy ground. Pleasant Company (Mark Walsh) won this race in 2017 but at his age he could find it hard to be competitive at this level.
Ferny Hollow (Patrick) goes for the bumper. This will be the most testing ground that he has encountered but he did win a point to point when the ground was soft. He will have a hood for the first time today and we are hoping for a big run.
