Patrick takes the ride on Williamstowndancer in the maiden hurdle over 2m 2f. This is his hurdling debut but he schools well at home. He has proved a difficult ride in the past but if on his best behaviour he has the ability to be a big player here. He will go on the ground and the trip will be no problem. Pure Notions (Danny) also starts his jumping career here. Looking at his pedigree he probably needs softer ground and a much longer trip. Castlebawn North (first reserve) also needs a longer trip but has to start somewhere.
Patrick was keen to run Billaway here in the hunters chase over 3m 4f. He will really benefit from the extra half a mile and is a course winner. He looks to hold a strong chance.
Barons Revenge (Patrick) goes for the bumper over 2m 1f. He was very disappointing on his debut at the Punchestown festival. We might try different tactics today but he may need to go over jumps to be seen at his best.
