True Self (Kevin Manning) goes for the Pretty Polly Stakes over 1m 2f. She raced over longer trips last season but we think this drop back will suit her. We will be pleased if she can get Group 1 placed as that would make it easier to get into races in the Southern Hemisphere later in the year.
We have five runners in the 2 mile handicap. Sharjah (Billy Lee) will handle this trip and ground but has a lot of weight. Zenon (Rachael Blackmore) will improve a lot from his run here a couple of weeks ago and could run into a place. Jon Snow (Colin Keane) has not been as good over hurdles as we hoped but he might be able to do better on the flat. Legal Spin (Ronan Whelan) was second in this race last year and goes well fresh. Bronagh’s Belle (Declan McDonogh) will find this tough but has a nice racing weight and will handle the ground and trip.
