Turners Novices’ Chase 2m 3f
Appreciate It (Paul) steps up in trip here and we think the extra half a mile will suit. He’s in very good form and will handle the ground. James Du Berlais (Daryl Jacob) was very disappointing at the Dublin Racing Festival and he will need to show significant improvement if he is to get involved here.
Ryanair Chase 2m 4f
Blue Lord (Paul) was beaten by Gentleman de Mee over 2 miles at Leopardstown but should run better over the longer trip here. He jumps well but Shishkin could be a hard nut to crack. Janidil (Mark Walsh) was very good when returning after a break in the Red Mills last time. He was second in this last year and should go very well here. Chacon Pour Soi (Danny) was disappointing at Thurles last time and needs to improve a lot on that effort here.
Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle 3 miles
We weren’t sure if Klassical Dream (Paul) would be ready in time for this but he has been working well at home recently and we have decided to let him take his chance. He runs well fresh and could be a good each-way prospect.
Magners Plate Handicap Chase 2m 4f
Haut En Couleurs (Mikey O’Sullivan) is burdened with top-weight but Mikey’s valuable 3lb claim will be a help. A repeat of his run when second to Janidil at Gowran last time gives him a good chance.
Jack De Bromhead Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle 2 miles
Lot Of Joy (Paul) is inclined to be keen but she is improving all the time. She has class and if she puts her best foot forward she could go close. Nikini (Patrick) hasn’t run since finishing second at Down Royal last November and the rain softened ground here is not ideal.
Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Chase 3m 2f
Mr Incredible (Patrick) ran a cracker at Warwick last time and despite having top-weight here he should run a big race. He jumps very well and will be suited by this trip.
