Cheltenham 15th March

We have three runners in the Supreme Novice Hurdle over 2 miles. Bring On The Night (Bryan Cooper) won nicely on his first run for us at Naas two weeks ago. He’s come late to the party but showed that he is entitled to line up here. However, he will have to seriously up his game if he is to get into the first three. Dysart Dynamo (Paul) has done nothing wrong this year and is now four from four. He has never gone left-handed but jumps well and has been in very good form at home recently. He has every chance in what looks like one of the toughest races at the meeting. Kilcruit (Patrick) is not without a chance. He has been pleasing Patrick on the gallops, jumps well and will handle the ground and track.

We also have three in the Arkle Novices Chase over 2 miles. Blue Lord (Paul) is three out of three over fences and looks sure to run well. He is a good jumper and will handle the ground. He looks a solid each-way proposition. Haut En Couleurs (Bryan Cooper) ran very well in the Triumph last year. He fell in Blue Lord’s race last time and that is a little worry. He might lack the confidence to jump at speed here. Saint Sam (Sean O’Keeffe) ran very free last time but maybe different tactics today will bring about improvement.

We run two in the Champion Hurdle over 2 miles. Appreciate It (Paul) has not been seen since running away with the Supreme here last year. He has a big job taking on Honeysuckle but he has been working really well and must have a great each-way chance. Saint Roi (Mark Walsh) proved he likes the track when landing the County Hurdle two years ago and could run a career best and finish in the money today.

We will have three in the Grade 1 Mares Hurdle over 2m 4f. Burning Victory (Sean O’Keeffe) won the Triumph Hurdle here two years ago. Cheek pieces proved a big addition when she won last time and if she gets her jumping together today she will be a big contender. Echoes In Rain (Patrick) hasn’t improved this year the way we thought she would. This trip might prove too far and it is hard to make a case for her. Stormy Ireland (Paul) won over this course and distance in the Relkeel last time and that puts her right in the picture today. Her rating puts her ahead of the field and she could confirm that superiority with the work she is doing at home.

We have two in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle over 2 miles. Gaelic Warrior (Paul) is having his first run for us. He works very well and looks well treated at the weights here. Hopefully his lack of experience won’t be a hindrance in a race like this. Feigh (Danny) has been improving all season but will have put in a great days work if she finishes in the first four.

Stattler (Patrick)goes for the Amateurs NH Chase over 3m 6f.  He jumps and stays well. Patrick has been looking forward to riding him in this race all season and we are expecting a big run.
