We have two runners in the Grade 1 Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris over 3m 6f. Franco De Port (Paul) was third in this race last year and is in better form coming here this year. However, the ground is much drier this time and that won’t suit. We will be delighted if he finishes in the first four. Carefully Selected (Danny) will love this marathon trip but, like Franco De Port, he would prefer much softer conditions.
We also run two in the Grade 1 Prix Alain du Breiul Hurdle. Zarak The Brave (Paul) has a great chance. The ground and trip will really suit and he has plenty of experience compared to the opposition. Gala Marceau (Danny) won’t be far away. She will like the track and go on the ground.
