Scarpeta (Paul) runs in the 2 mile maiden hurdle. He was third on his first run over hurdles at Navan last month and that experience will stand to him here. He looked like a longer trip would suit him at Noavan but this will be a fair a test of stamina in the heavy ground. We are expecting a big run.

We have three runners in the Galmoy Hurdle over 3 miles. Bacardys (Patrick) fell over fences last time so we have decided to go back over hurdles and leave chasing until next year. He is not really favoured by these race conditions but stamina shouldn’t be a problem as he has won a point to point. Augusta Kate (David Mullins) ran alright at Christmas and could get into the money here. Let’s Dance (Paul) won over 2m 4f at Leopardstown last time and gave the impression there that she could easily stay this trip. This will give us an idea of what direction we will go with her later in the season.

We run two in the Thyestes Handicap Chase over 3m 1f. Pleasant Company (Paul) disappointed at Christmas but we expect him to perform much better here. He will love this trip and ground. Isleofhopendreams (David Mullins) goes on the ground and will enjoy the trip. His lack of experience could be offset by his nice racing weight.

We also run two in the 2 mile beginners chase. Bunk Off Early (Paul) was second at Leopardstown last month and that experience gives him a big chance of going one better today.  Montalbano (David Mullins) has fallen on his last two starts and we will be happy to see him getting round here.
