We have three runners in the 3 mile handicap hurdle. Madurai (Paul) ran once over this trip and disappointed. He has won over 2 miles an it could be that he would be better over two and a half. However, we will take our chance. Bobarlee (David Mullins) was very disappointing at Bellewstown last time where she did not jump as well as she can. She needs to improve a lot to feature here. Ben Button (Ruby) was second over 2m 6f at Downpatrick on his only run for us. He will like the trip and ground and we think that these Easyfix hurdles might suit him better than the conventional ones.
Riven Light (Declan McDonogh) reappears in the 7f handicap after winning over a mile here on Tuesday. We are taking a chance dropping him in trip once again but the testing ground should suit him better than some of the others. He has a bad draw but even with his 7lbs penalty he is still 6lbs well in compared to future races.
We have two in the 2m 6f conditions chase. This could be a nice opportunity for Shaneshill (Ruby) if he has recovered from his exertions in the Plate last Wednesday. Arbre De Vie (Paul) who was sixth in the Plate might get a share of the place money.
Dicosimo (Paul) goes for the 2m 2f handicap chase. He is proving hard to place but will be suited by the ground and trip here.
We have two in the winners bumper. Ainsi Va La Vie (Patrick) won impressively over two and a half miles on her debut in Limerick and should be okay over this shorter trip. This is a tough race and she will need to have improved if she is to follow up today. Vittorio (Katie Walsh) won first time out at Roscommon but we are not sure how she will handle this testing ground. However, she will take her chance here before going hurdling.
