14 Mar 2019 Race Previews

We have three runners in the JLT Novices Chase over 2m 4f. Real Steel (Paul) will be suited by the ground and trip and should go very well. Voix Du Reve (Ruby) fell when still in contention last time and with a clear round over this longer trip he must have a great chance. Pravalaguna (David) was impressive when winning at Naas last month and the slower ground here will really suit her.

We have two in the Ryanair Chase over 2m 4f. Footpad (Ruby) was very good in the Arkle last year and, while things haven’t gone smoothly for him this season, he has been working very well and we expect him to be involved at the business end here. Un De Sceaux (Paul) will love this ground and will appreciate the trip. He too has a real good chance.

We run four in the Stayers Hurdle over 3 miles. Bacardys (Patrick) reverts to hurdles and loves this track. The ground and trip will suit. Bapaume (Paul) has course form and ran well in the Galmoy Hurdle at Gowran. Coquin Mans (David) needs this ground and trip but has been disappointing recently. Faugheen (Ruby) has the advantage of being a course winner and a distance winner. He is in tip top form and ready to run a big race.

Polidam (Paul) goes for the 2m 4f handicap chase. He hasn’t been running well lately and would need to improve a lot to be concerned here.

We have won the last three runnings of the 2m 1f Dawn Run Mares’ Novices Hurdle. Ruby has elected to ride My Sister Sarah and she could be our best chance. She has been working very well and we think she will handle this soft ground. Sancta Simona (Mark Walsh) is a model of consistency and a first time hood here could bring about improvement. Allez Dance (Daryl Jacob) won her maiden hurdle well Punchestown and while she will need to improve on that form she has the potential to do so. Elfile (Paul) won on first time of asking for us and is a good jumper. She stays well and has a decent each-way chance. Buildmeupbuttercup (Brian Hayes) Concertista (Danny) and Eglantine Du Seuil (Noel Fehily) need to show improvement if they are to get involved today.

Livelovelaugh (Patrick) runs in the Kim Muir Amateur Handicap Chase over 3m 2f. will like the trip but probably has it all to do under top weight.
