1 Feb 2019 Race Previews

We have five runners in the Grade 1 Novice Hurdle over 2m 6f. Paul has decided to ride Come To Me who ran too freely when disappointing at Naas last time. He is bred for a trip like this and hopefully he will leave the form of the Naas run behind today. Denis O’Regan renews his partnership with Dorrells Pierji on whom he won on at Galway in October. The ground and trip shouldn’t be a problem. Getareason (Keith Donoghue) will like this trip and ground. Relegate (Ruby) has a nice weight and will appreciate this trip but might prefer softer ground. Salsaretta (Patrick) would also like it softer but the form of the race she won at Limerick over Christmas has worked out well.

Melon (Ruby) goes for the Irish Champion Hurdle over 2 miles. He again faces the in-form Apple’s Jade but we are looking for a much better performance from him this time. He has improved a good bit since they met at Christmas and he will handle this ground.

We have three in the Ladbrokes Handicap Hurdle over 2 miles. Blazer (Jody McGarvey) be suited by this ground and a reproduction of his Galway Hurdle run would put him in the picture here. Sayar (Paul) has had a very easy season so far and has a nice weight for his first run in a handicap. Ruby has elected to ride Uradel and that says a good bit for his chance. He has a lovely racing weight.

Mt Leinster (Patrick) runs in the bumper. We were disappointed with his last run but we are hoping for some improvement in what is a very competitive race.

Min (Ruby) goes for the Ladbrokes Dublin Chase over 2m 1f. He has a good record over this track and the race conditions and ground suit. He looks the one to beat.

Voix Du Reve (Paul) is in the Frank Ward Solicitors Arkle Novice Chase over 2m 1f. He looks up against it here and we will be happy if he finishes in the first three.
