3 Nov 2019 Race Previews

We run two in the 4yo maiden hurdle over 2 miles. Farid (Barry Geraghty) shows us quite a bit at home but has been disappointing on the racecourse. He appears to be in great shape and his best form would see him go very close today. Bronagh’s Belle (Paul) didn’t jump well enough when third at Listowel and the form of that race has not worked out well. She needs to improve her jumping if she is to get involved here.

Drury (Paul) runs in the 2m 4f mares maiden hurdle. She ran well when second over this trip on her hurdling debut at Gowran last month and is a course winner here. She should improve on that Gowran effort and we are expecting her to go close.

Blazing Emily (Paul) goes for the 3 mile novice hurdle. She was third over 2m 5f at Limerick last time and will appreciate this longer trip. She is improving all the time and will enjoy this ground.

We have three runners in the 2m 4f novice chase. Brahma Bull (Brian Hayes) didn’t jump well last time and would be better over a longer trip. Dandy Mag (Danny) also needs to improve his jumping but he will like this trip. Sayo (Paul) won over 2m 2f at Galway last month and this longer trip and the soft will really suit.

Pont Aven (Paul) runs in the Cork Grand National Handicap over 3m 4f. He jumps very well and even though he is a novice we are running here to take advantage of the marathon trip which will play to his strengths. He won’t have any problem with the ground.

Getaway Gorgeous (Patrick) is in the mares winners bumper. She will go on the ground and was a good second in a winners bumper at Gowran last time. Her form is solid and she deserves another crack at a winners race.
