We have two runners in the Grade 3 Joe Mac Novice Hurdle over 2 miles. Arctic Warrior (Mark Walsh) won a maiden hurdle over 2m 4f at Sligo in August and we don’t think that the drop in trip today will be a problem. Previously, he had been going well when falling at the second last at Down Royal over this trip. This is a competitive affair but he looks to have every chance. Purple Mountain (Sean O’Keeffe) won her maiden hurdle at the Galway festival and probably needs to improve to be a contender here.
Saldier (Danny) goes for the Grade 3 Hurdle over 2 miles. The fact that he doesn’t get a penalty here for winning the Galway Hurdle is a big plus and, on official ratings, he looks the one to beat.
Fan De Blues (Brian Hayes) runs in the Grade 3 Novice Chase over 2m 4f. He won a novice chase at Galway and will like this ground and the trip will be fine. He should give a good account of himself.
