Thurles 20th February

Salsaretta (Paul) goes for the 2m 6f mares novice chase. She beat Augusta Gold at Punchestown last time and that horse franked the form when just touched off by Ifyoucatchmenow on Tuesday. This looks like a straightforward task for Salsaretta and she should make it three from three over fences.

We have two runners in the competitive Grade 3 novice hurdle over 2m 4f. Paul has chosen Drury who would have a chance on her best form but has to put a disappointing run last time behind her. Five O’clock (Danny) won maiden hurdle in workmanlike fashion at Limerick last month. The bare form of that race wouldn’t be good enough here but the extra trip today should bring about some improvement.

We have two in the mares bumper. Patrick has elected to ride Rhyme’n Rhythm who was second on her debut at Punchestown last October. Dysart Diamond (Jody Townend) ran well last time and will have the benefit of Jody’s 7lb claim. Hopefully they will run well in a tough looking race.
