Power Of Pause (David) goes for the 2 mile rated novice hurdle. He won over 2m 3f at Clonmel last time and the drop back to 2 miles here might suit him even better. He will be fine on the ground and has a very good chance. We also run Ruaille Buaille (Rachael Blackmore) here but she was disappointing last time and is probably best watched today.
Finest Evermore (David) runs in the 2m 4f mares listed novice hurdle. She has been improving all the time and we are expecting her to extend her winning run here. She will like the track and trip.
We have four runners in the John Durkan Memorial Chase over 2m 4f. Allaho (David) was third over 3 miles at Cheltenham and the drop back in trip here might better suit his style of racing. Melon (Brian Hayes) was just touched off in the Marsh Novices Chase at Cheltenham and a reproduction of that form would put him right in the mix here. Min (Patrick) has won the last two runnings of this race. Hopefully he can make it three in a row in what promises to be the race of the weekend in Ireland. Tornado Flyer (Bryan Cooper) is very hard to place and doesn’t look up to the standard of these rivals. Hopefully he might get some place money.
Aslukwoodhavit (Patrick) makes his debut in the 4yo bumper. He goes well at home and we have been looking forward to seeing him on the racecourse. His pedigree is not as good as some of these rivals so it’s hard to be confident about his chance.
