Belle Metal (Paul) goes for the 3 mile handicap hurdle. The trip will suit but she could find this tough. She has a lot of weight and would prefer softer ground.
We run two in the 3 mile beginners chase. Five O’clock (Brian Hayes) burst a blood vessel when pulling up in a handicap hurdle here last time. He looks like a chaser but his recent form has been disappointing. Lord Royal (Paul) has been given a nice break since pulling up in a handicap chase at Leopardstown last Christmas. His style of jumping and this trip will bring out the best in him today. He comes here with a good chance.
Pink In The Park (Patrick) runs in the mares winners bumper. She has a lot of weight but she has been racing in top company and this represents a drop in class. She was fifth in a grade three bumper here at the festival and won’t be meeting the same calibre of horse here.
