Punchestown 23rd February

We have three runners in the Quevega Mares Hurdle over 2m 4f. Gauloise (Rachael Blackmore) runs well here but is not favoured by these race conditions. She will love the ground. Dysart Diamond (Bryan Cooper) is a course winner but probably needs ‘good’ in the going description to be seen at her best. Burning Victory (Paul) is really well suited by the race conditions and will like the ground and trip. If first time cheek pieces sharpen up her jumping she will be hard to beat.

Haxo (Patrick) has his first run for us in the 2 mile maiden hurdle. He is a good solid type who won an AQPS race in France. He is a good jumper and we think he will handle the ground. However, he lacks experience over hurdles and will improve as the season goes on.

Ramillies (Paul) goes for the 2m 4f maiden hurdle. He made a bad mistake at the last when third to The Nice Guy on his hurdling debut at Naas last month. We are expecting him to go very close here.
