We have two runners in the Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle over 2 miles. Dysart Dynamo (Paul) was very impressive when winning his maiden hurdle at Mallow last month and any improvement would see him go close today. He is a real big chasing type who likes to jump and gallop and that could give him an edge here. Hawai Game (Mark Walsh) won his maiden in good style at Naas but was green over some of his hurdles. He showed a bit of class there and with any improvement should be involved at the business end here.
Goven (Mark Walsh) goes for division one of the 2 mile maiden hurdle. He took on top opposition on his hurdling debut at Leopardstown at Christmas and might find this task easier. He will need to improve a good bit and hopefully will at least finish in the money.
We run two in the 2m 4f novice chase. Capodanno (Mark Walsh) put in a great round of jumping at Naas until he pecked at the second last. When he recovered his class showed and he won going away. With a bold round of jumping here he might give Bob Olinger a run for his money. We are drawing a line through Gaillard Du Mesnil’s (Paul) run behind Capodanno last time as it was obvious from a long way out that he wasn’t going to win. It may be that he needs a run to get him right and a good performance today would be a step up the ladder for him.
Whiskey Lullaby (Paul) goes for the beginners chase over 2m 6f. She was third in a maiden hurdle at Limerick at the end of last month and while this might be coming a bit quick she is suited by the race conditions. This trip will suit and with the benefit of her English chasing experience she should be very competitive.
