Power Of Pause (Paul) goes for the listed novice hurdle over 2 miles. He probably needs further but he is a course and distance winner so we are letting him take his chance. The emphasis on stamina on the demanding ground will play to his strengths.
Pont Aval (Paul) runs in division one of the 2m 4f maiden hurdle. He pulled up on heavy ground at Limerick at Christmas and his best form has been on drier ground. However, he has been pleasing us at home and we are hoping he will go close.
Jungle Boogie (Paul) makes his hurdling debut in division two. He won his bumper on heavy ground at Clonmel so he shouldn’t have any problem with these conditions. The trip will suit and he has schooled well in preparation for this.
Starman (Patrick) makes his racecourse debut in the bumper. He is a half-brother to Laurina and is a real bumper type. He is a decent sort but we are concerned about the weather forecast and the prospect of really heavy ground.
