Francin (Paul) goes for the 2m 4f maiden hurdle. He was third over this trip at Leopardstown last time and the form of that race has since worked out well. We think he will handle the heavy ground and a repeat of his last run should put him right in the firing line here.
We have three runners in the 3m 4f Grand National Trial Handicap Chase. Pleasant Company (Paul) has to give weight away all round but he loves this track and will appreciate the trip. Unfortunately the recent rain won’t be any help. On the other hand, both Stones And Roses (Conor Maxwell) and Ifyoucatchmenow (Conor McNamara) will be suited by the recent rain. They both have handy weights and will love this trip.
Ferny Hollow (Patrick) runs in the bumper. He has finished second on his two bumper runs and we are hoping he will finally get off the mark today. He will be wearing a hood for the first time here and we will be disappointed if doesn’t make the most of this opportunity.
