Lord Royal (Danny) runs in the Troytown Handicap Chase over 3 miles. He is still a maiden over fences but he jumps well and will like this trip. He will handle the ground and we think he has improved over the summer.
We have two runners in the 2m 1f beginners chase. Mt Leinster (Sean O’Keeffe) had a very good run when third at Wexford last time and that puts him in here with a really good chance. He will love this ground and should be very much involved at the business end. Rambranlt’jac (Brian Hayes) is making his debut over fences and has schooled well at home. It will be interesting to see how he gets on at this discipline.
We run two in the Mares Listed Bumper. Flemencello (Patrick) was a little disappointing when only third at Gowran last month. The ground was probably a bit too lively for her there and ideally she would want more cut than she is going get today. On the other hand, Nos Na Gaoithe (Jody Townend) will benefit from the dry ground here and she was a good winner on her debut at Sligo last August.
