Intranet (Paul) goes for the 2 mile rated novice hurdle. He beat a big field convincingly in a maiden at Punchestown in November and then finished 5th to stable companion Facile Vega at Leopardstown at Christmas. He meets nothing of that class here and we think he will go very close.
We run Aime Desjy (Danny) and Shanbally Kid (Paul) in the 2m 4f maiden hurdle. There wasn’t much between them at Limerick last time and Paul has selected to ride Shanbally Kid today. The hint should be taken.
Belle Metal (Jack Foley) runs in the 2m 4f handicap hurdle. She pulled up at Limerick over Christmas and would need to improve a lot to win here.
We have two nice horses making their debuts for the yard in the bumper. Criminal Mischief has plenty of potential but It’s For Me has been doing everything right at home and could be hard to beat today.
We have two in the 3 mile beginners chase and there might not be much between them here. Paul has opted for Aoine who will improve a lot from his run at Punchestown on New Year’s Eve. Tenzing (Sean O’Keeffe) was second to Ramilles at Thurles last month and he too has a very good chance today.
