Bachasson (Paul) runs in the Limestone Lad Grade 3 Hurdle over 2 miles. This trip might be a bit short but it is difficult to find suitable opportunities for him. This will be tough for a horse his age but he has his chance.
El Barra (Paul) goes for division one of the 2m 3f maiden hurdle. He burst a blood vessel at Leopardstown last time and that is always a worry. He seems in good form at home since and he should be competitive if he can return to the form of his win at Thurles last November. Arctic Warrior is second reserve. He is closely related to Arctic Fire and might want better ground than he is likely to encounter here.
Glens Of Antrim (Mark Walsh) runs in division two. She ran a terrific race when second to Stattler at Leopardstown last month. With a little improvement and some slicker jumping she should be hard to beat.
We have two runners in the 3 mile hunters chase. Billaway (Patrick) won this race last year and with a bit of luck he might do the same again this time round. We are hoping he will build on his Down Royal win in preparation for another tilt at the Foxhunters at Cheltenham. Dragon D’estruval (Richie Deegan) ran well in a point to point last time. He had a rating of 147 in England before coming to us and would have a real chance here if coming back to his best form.
