Naas 13th March

Deploy The Getaway (Sean O’Keeffe) goes for the Grade 3 Novice Hurdle over 1m 7f. He was unlucky when beaten by today’s rival Slip Of The Tongue at Punchestown last time. While we are respectful of that rival here we think our fellow has every chance of turning the tables this time.

We have three runners in the Leinster National Handicap Chase over 3 miles. Franco De Port (Bryan Cooper) ran a fantastic race to finish second in the Thyestes but faces a stiff task here having to give lumps of weight away all round. He will love the ground and a top four finish with this weight would be a great run. Class Conti (Sean O’Keeffe) was unplaced in the Thyestes so needs to up his game here. He is being aimed at the Aintree National so we are hoping for a good run. Stones And Roses (Brian Hayes) was only fifth at Punchestown last time but he was badly hampered and the run is better than the final placing would suggest. He has a nice light weight and a good each-way chance.

Flemencello (Jody Townend) runs in the mares’ bumper. She should love these testing conditions and could run better than her recent form would suggest.
