Captain Kangaroo (Paul) runs in division one of the 2 mile maiden hurdle. He was second over this course and distance last month and with natural progression this looks like a great opportunity to get off the mark over hurdles. We would prefer better ground for him but it will be disappointing if he doesn’t prove good enough.
Gentleman de Mee (Mark Walsh) has his first run for us in division two. He is a very nice individual who was second twice over hurdles in France. That experience will be invaluable here and we’re confident of a big run.
We have two in the Opera Hat Mares Listed Chase over 2 miles. Elimay (Mark Walsh) was second to Allaho at Thurles last time and that form makes her a very hot property here. Our only worry is that she had a very hard race that day. Yukon Lil (Paul) is back to her best trip here and is certainly not out of it. She gets a nice mares’ weight allowance and could be in the firing line too.
